Cars and exhibitions on showcase

The showcases here are stunning in many ways. There are several exhibits available, and most times, it is just about what you want to see because you may not be able to see everything. The exhibitions available at the museum include but are not limited to;

1927 Morris Cowley

This is an iconic car that was first used in Northern Rhodesia (a part of Zambia today). A 1548cc engine powers this car, and it has a top speed of about 75kph.

1951 Mercedes Benz 170VA Tourer

Most 170VA are left-handed, but this is a rare version with a right-hand wheel. The wonderfully designed vehicle was first driven in Singapore and, in 1966, came to Australian. It got to Western Australia in 2017.

1953 Ford Anglia Tourer

This car was produced by Ford Australia and represented one of the excellent vehicles that were made in and for Australia. It has a 933cc capacity side-valve engine.

1961 Holden EK special Station Wagon

It was the first Holden car of the swinging 60s, so it has Venetian blinds and a two-tone colour scheme. It was a first in many ways, first Holden to have electric windscreen wipers, first to have automatic transmission too. It came with an inline six-cylinder motor of 2.2-litre capacity and could deliver 75 BHP.

Subaru 22B STi

It is a 1998 sport racing car considered by Subaru owners to be Holy Grail. Only 400 units were produced.

1978 Ford Falcon 302 Cobra Coupe

This is a vintage racing car best remembered by Bathurst Ford fans for the famous win by Moffat and Bond on the Mountain in 1977. Only 400 of these cars were produced.

Goldfields

This exhibit takes you back to see how pioneers of Western Australia lived and the vehicles they drove. It is a surreal diorama that looks exactly with original vehicles and replicas of plants, people, everything, including the red dust.

Vintage

The West Coast Motor Museum has an extensive collection of vintage vehicles, and if that’s what you like, you can come to see them.

Pioneers

Vehicles paved the way for mining and exploration in this state, and we have a display of modern and historic cars that depicts the pioneering spirit of our people.

Racing Cars

We have an extensive collection of racing cars, from modern automobiles to classic sports vehicles. Our comprehensive selections of racing vehicles include 1953 HWM Jaguar Grand Prix, Chevrolets, Nissans, and Holdens. All these cars are still in excellent and race-ready conditions, and you might even get the chance to hear them growl if you visit on a day we choose to test them. There are also racing memorabilia in this exhibition, including flags, kits, signs, photos, and much more.

Muscle Cars

Our exhibition also includes muscle cars of various kinds. Get to see all the monsters from Fords to Holdens to the marquees. Many of these cars are in top shape.
